Riding school
Rider’s weight:
Due to possible strain on our horse’s backs from heavier riders, we have to make the cut off weight for a beginner rider at 80 kg.
We offer basic riding, show jumping and dressage in our lessons.
We also provide lead reign classes for the youngsters. Livery stabling is available for those who would like to join the Camelot family and own their own horses
We have a fully equipped Jumping and Dressage arena and 2 Lunging arenas The Camelot riding school is open for lessons every day except Sundays and public holidays.

More experienced riders from the age of 8 to adult can also be grouped according to their skill level and age. There are never more than four riders per group lesson and the lessons are 45 minutes.
Group lessons are R200/lesson, charged per month, offered as one lesson per week. Some weeks will have 5 lessons.

We offer a 15minute lead reign lessons from 9h00 during mornings up to 14h00 in the afternoon.
These lessons are R150/lesson.
Lessons are billed and paid monthly or quarterly in advance, some months will have 5 riding lessons.

1 hour vineyard outride @ R350.00 per person
2 hour vineyard and dam outride @ R600.00 per person
Sunset outrides per couple @ R630.00 per person for 45 minutes

ADELE RICHTER

Adele has been a valued member of the Camelot team since 1997.
Throughout the years, she has competed in various equestrian disciplines such as Showjumping, Showing and Dressage. Additionally, she has completed Hunting and Reliability Trails, and she’s ventured into Sprint Eventing. Adele has exciting plans for the future, including participating in Hunting and Reliability trails next year.
Adele's extensive experience extends to teaching numerous riders over the years, generously sharing her passion for horses with each one.
In August 2023, Adele had to bid a fond farewell to her beloved equine companion, Oscar Magic, who crossed over the rainbow bridge. At 28 years old and battling asthma, Oscar Magic left a significant void at the farm. He played a vital role at Camelot, often guiding nervous riders and horses on long rides. May he forever gallop in boundless fields of lush grass.

Tayla Nicolay

Tayla is our youngest riding instructor she has been riding since the age of 2. Tayla owns a 14 year old TB called Cunning Fox who is stabled at Camelot.
Tayla has a passion for instructing new beginner and nervous riders. She has experience in show jumping up to 1.10 and also has dressage experience.
